Andrew Scott for Esquire’s Winter Jacket Guide
- ‘Someone like Moriarty is open to interpretation – he can be lots of different things,’ says Andrew Scott in his soft-as-rain Dublin accent. ‘Which is why it’s good that someone like me can play a part like that. People shouldn’t know too much about you.’
Can we take a minute to appreciate the faces Andrew Scott makes in Sherlock
I find any sort of acting that doesn’t have any humour in it is mind-numbingly boring. ‘Serious acting’ is the kind of acting that I don’t ever respond to. I think it’s important to always be a bit playful.
I like how you can see his Irish accent in a gif.
This is a beautiful thing.
Matt Smith looks really good in that dress js
hey don’t forget mark
“I was delighted to be nominated and very shocked to win. I didn’t even prepare a speech, just the names of people I wanted to thank - it was a great night. When they said my name I turned round to give Benedict a hug but there was a seat filler guy in his place because they had taken him up to present Steven Moffat’s award, so I was like, ‘Benedict looks different. Oh no, you’re not Benedict!” I thought I was losing my mind. I think the other guy got a bit of a fright too!”
